Vote NO to Drug Legalisation

April 2003 Vienna Declaration.

At a recent meeting in Brussels with the Belgium Parents Association it was suggested by a mother that we the undersigned, representing millions of European citizens present a declaration at the UN in Vienna in April 2003 against any form of drug legalisation. It was agreed that we would co-operate in gathering 1 million signatures in support of existing sanctions and exploring means of tighter controls on drugs.

Hassela Nordic Network have kindly agreed to co-ordinate signatures and have accordingly opened a site at www.hnnsweden.com/collect_signatures for signing.

The above NGO's are a politically, religiously and corporately independent network of NGO's dedicated to defending all the UN legal sanctions on Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Doping Agents. Our aim is to reduce the demand for drugs while defending our most vulnerable citizens, especially our children, from the current drugs epidemic.

2003 Vienna Declaration

We welcome you to take this opportunity to support the UN Conventions on Drugs (1961, 1971 and 1988) by simply signing this Declaration. We seek to maintain restrictive drug policies as presently recommended by the UN and ratified by our national governments.

We ask that you reject all demands by International Anti-prohibitionists for Amendments to these Conventions, which would promote or facilitate the use of and involvement with Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Doping Agents, proscribed by the above Conventions.

We aim to raise 1 million signatures worldwide, with your help before April 2003, when we will present them at the United Nations in Vienna during their mid-term review. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

At this session there will be a mid-term review of the results achieved since the 1998 UN General Assembly Special Assembly on Drugs (UNGASS). At this review pro-drug advocates (who used the facilities of the European Parliament in Brussels in October) will lobby for political support to amend or repeal the above Conventions to permit legalisation of these toxic substances.

Background: For several years now and with strong financial backing by international financier Mr George Soros, these individuals and organisations have made strenuous efforts to undermine the International safeguards that protect our children. By ratifying these UN Conventions our Governments have committed themselves to protecting our families and our most vulnerable citizens from the menace and violence involved in the drugs epidemic.

Please help us, by signing your own name or that of your organisation, at the HNN website, so that we can present it to the United Nations in Vienna in April 2003. Join with us in building a better future than that offered by drug legalisation. For the sake of that Belgium mother and all of our children and extended families, especially our most vulnerable citizens, please support this initiative. THANK YOU.
